Kylian Mbappe wins the Player of the Season in Ligue 1 hours after announcing his departure from PSG

Even though Kylian Mbappe leaving PSG isn’t the greatest news for the Parisiens, he does so holding his head high. The French striker has scored an unbelievable 256 goals for the club and to top things off, took home the award for Best Player of the season in Ligue 1.
Despite crashing out of the Champions League in embarrassing fashion, Mbappe’s domestic exploits were undoubtedly one of the best this season. With 27 goals and 7 assists, the 25-year-old is the leading goal scorer in the League.
His goal scoring prowess is so good that Jonathan David who’s in second place has racked up 8 goals less! The Parisiens are currently on 70 points from 32 games and have already won Ligue 1 with games to spare.
PSG’s final home game of the season however, ended in a 3-1 defeat to Toulouse. Mbappe took a moment after the game to offer gratitude to the fans and players of the club.

Kylian Mbappe shines light on ‘new chapter’ in his career
Kylian Mbappe is finally leaving Paris Saint-Germain. After years of rumors and sensational news linking him to pastures elsewhere, PSG’s No.7 has finally made it official. At the end of the season, Mbappe will no longer be a Parisien, though he promised to follow ‘every game’ of his club.
Though there’s been a lot of talk on Mbappe’s next destination, there has been nothing official from either his new club or the player. Mbappe however, revealed that he can’t wait to write a new chapter in his career.

During his time in the League, Mbappe claimed a monstrous seven Ligue 1 titles to his name – tied for third-most titles for a player. Besides the League, Mbappe also has numerous domestic accolades and top scorer plaques to his name. As the 16-year-old who joined AS Monaco leaves as a 25-year-old with the world in his palm, the rest of Europe should be wary.
