Despite the transfer window not being open yet, the entirety of the footballing community knows that Kylian Mbappe‘s move to Real Madrid will be the biggest deal this summer. After years of speculation and rumors, the move that kept fans on their toes for several seasons became a reality. Mbappe will join Real Madrid after the Euros in Germany.
In a recent interaction with the press, Mbappe’s international teammate and soon-to-be club teammate Eduardo Camavinga opened up about the forward’s move.
It's the next logical step in his career. Madrid is the club he needs after PSG. It can help him with his personal as well as collective goals, because he wants to win the Champions League. I think Real Madrid is the perfect club.Eduardo Camavinga told the press as quoted by AS
It is no secret that Real Madrid are the kings of the competition (UCL), and with their record in the Champions League, Mbappe has indeed come to the ‘right’ place. His former side, Paris Saint-Germain were eventually knocked out in the semi-finals by Borussia Dortmund. With Mbappe joining the likes of Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr. at the club, fans can expect fireworks in seasons to come!
Kylian Mbappe and France fail to overcome underdogs Canada in final game ahead of Euros
With just eight more days to go for the upcoming Euros, teams are engaged in their final preparations. Tournament favorites France have failed to impress in their final friendly game ahead of the tournament after playing out a goalless draw against Canada. Fans were disappointed to see the result as none of Olivier Giroud, Ousmane Dembele or Antoine Griezmann could find the net.
The Les Bleus were clearly the ‘better’ side on the night, generating more chances, playing ‘better’ football and having a greater share of the ball. That being said, the Canadian defense stood firm when they came up against incessant attacks from the opposition. Maxime Crepeau and his defenders did well to keep out the 13 shots and 7 corner kicks by the World Cup winners.
A 15-minute cameo from Kylian Mbappe proved to be too late too little for the hosts as Crepeau kept out every move made by the forward. The No.10 had the crowd on its feet as he made one final dribble into the opposition’s penalty area. Mbappe side stepped two of the opposition defenders before blasting his shot straight at the goalkeeper. France begin their Euros campaign against Austria eight days from now on Tuesday.
