Kylie Kelce is no fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Nor the notion that the Cowboys are America’s Team. The podcast host and wife of one of the former Philadelphia Eagles OL, Jason Kelce, addressed the Dallas Cowboys in the latest episode of her podcast, “Not Gonna Lie,” in light of the Cowboys’ encounter with the Kansas City Chiefs this week.

The duel between the Chiefs and the Cowboys is scheduled to take place on Thanksgiving night, which has pushed the matchup into the national headlines and made it a trending topic. With her favourite, the Philadelphia Eagles, blowing a 21-point lead to the Dallas Cowboys last week, Kylie had to say something about the team nicknamed America’s Team.

She ripped into the notion of the Cowboys being given such a moniker while asking her fans to root for her brother-in-law, Travis Kelce, and the Kansas City Chiefs in the anticipated showdown.

Speaking of Thanksgiving football. Don’t root for the Cowboys and do root for the Chiefs. Let’s go, Uncle Trav… I’m so sick of the idea that the Cowboys are America’s Team. So, they can kiss my a** and, you guessed it, get f***ed.

Kylie went off at the Dallas Cowboys

Kylie Kelce isn’t the only one who feels that the Dallas Cowboys aren’t America’s Team. Earlier this year, former NFL and University of Missouri player Chase Daniel claimed that the Chiefs have overtaken the Cowboys as America’s Team. Daniel pointed out the Cowboys’ obvious lack of records and the Chiefs’ recent successes as reasons why he thought so.

The notion that the Chiefs should be the rightful users of that moniker is also not new. A year back, ESPN’s Courtney Cronin claimed that the Patriots and later the Chiefs have surpassed the Cowboys for that title.

Absolutely not, and they haven’t been America’s team since the last time they won a Super Bowl. You know who ‘America’s team’ is? The Kansas City Chiefs. The Cowboys were that back in the ’90s, back when I was a toddler not even watching the NFL yet. We saw it before the Kansas City Chiefs with the New England Patriots. And we haven’t seen it since.

Cronin said back then

The Chiefs and the Cowboys are in a do-or-die game for both of them

The Kansas City Chiefs and the Dallas Cowboys are both on the hunt for a playoff spot. The Chiefs are 6-5 after a strong overtime win over the Indianapolis Colts. Meanwhile, the Cowboys’ win over the Eagles last week landed them 5-5-1.

The Chiefs are currently tenth in the AFC with high chances of missing the playoffs. The Chiefs need a win in Week 13 against the Cowboys to remain active in the playoff hunt. They will face stiff competition from the Cowboys, who have added handsomely on the defensive side of the ball ahead of the deadline. They acquired Quinnen Williams and Logan Wilson, while DeMarvion Overshown returned to the roster.

They have been able to limit the run offense in the last two games: the Las Vegas Raiders and the Philadelphia Eagles. The Raiders and the Eagles, both run dominant units, were forced to throw the ball and play a passing game. However, the Chiefs are not a weak passing unit. Patrick Mahomes and his secondary are ranked second in passing offense, right after the Cowboys.

The Cowboys currently sit tenth in the NFC standings, trailing the Detroit Lions and the Carolina Panthers, and their path to the postseason has become increasingly narrow. From this point forward, every matchup carries significant weight. A victory over the Chiefs would put them in a favorable position, as their final three games come against teams with losing records, contests in which they are likely to hold an advantage.

The Chiefs, meanwhile, face a far steeper road ahead. Following their meeting with Dallas, they are slated to play three consecutive opponents with winning records. If they manage to triumph in this matchup, it will be all the more critical for maintaining their own playoff aspirations.
