WWE concluded its summer tour of Japan, hosting the last SuperShow in Tokyo on Friday. One of the biggest WWE superstars who traveled to the Land of the Rising Sun was LA Knight. Ahead of his SummerSlam battle against Logan Paul, The Megastar called out his opponent. Knight posted a clip on X of himself asking Paul why he didn’t travel with the rest of the WWE contingent.
For those unfamiliar, the United States Champion has a daunting history in the country. Hence, it seems that his #1 contender poked fun at him for not being able to compete at the recent shows. Speaking of the tour, Knight wrestled on all nights. On the first day, he teamed up with Kevin Owens to face The Bloodline in a losing effort.
The following show in Tokyo saw the 41-year-old gain the win against the faction, alongside Owens and Shinsuke Nakamura. Furthermore, Knight lost to Gunther on the final day of the tour. The former TNA star carried his momentum heading into SummerSlam on the latest edition of SmackDown. After last week’s backstage confrontation, he defeated Santos Escobar on the pre-taped episode.
However, he was ambushed by Logan Paul, who sent a bold statement a week away from their match. For almost a year, these two have slowly been building towards this bout. In fact, fans expected that it would take place at WrestleMania this year. Regardless, LA Knight will finally have an opportunity to not only get his hands on Paul but to also win his first singles title in WWE.
LA Knight opened up about his position as a main eventer in WWE
Without doubt, LA Knight is one of the fastest-rising WWE superstars in recent times. The Megastar went from missing WrestleMania in 2023 to challenging Roman Reigns for the Undisputed title by the end of the year. Recently, Knight opened up about his status as a main event star.

While speaking with Cody Rhodes on the ‘What Do You Wanna Talk About?’ podcast, the duo discussed the number of top babyfaces in the company. Despite beating Rhodes multiple times in merchandise sales, Knight doesn’t feel on the same level as him.
According to the 41-year-old, he is on the 11th floor, while The American Nightmare resides on the 12th floor. Having said that, it seems that Knight is aiming to achieve bigger things in his WWE run, and who knows if he does end up challenging Rhodes for the Undisputed Championship down the line?
