Former WWE champion makes fun of Drew McIntyre for being a crybaby on social media following their confrontation on SmackDown.
LA Knight has a new nickname for Drew McIntyre (via WWE)
Drew McIntyre cut a promo on the latest episode of SmackDown and announced that he was now a permanent member of the blue brand. The 39-year-old asserted that he would be coming after Cody Rhodes, or more specifically, what was stolen from him, the WWE Undisputed Championship. Jimmy Uso came out to interrupt him but ended up on the wrong side of some brutal insults.
LA Knight also showed up and said that it was okay for men to cry when things get too much in their lives. However, there was a limit to things, and he only saw McIntyre complain all the time. Furthermore, he said that only three things in life are for certain: death, taxes, and “Drew McIncryer.” He later reiterated the same joke in a post on X.
This segment signals that the backstage drama involving McIntyre following the Royal Rumble was nothing but a work. Reports had stated that the Scottish Warrior was screaming backstage and stormed out of the arena before the event was even over.
McIntyre was reportedly mad at someone for “trying to get their moves in” and sacrificing narrative and storytelling elements in the process. This name was later speculated to be LA Knight, who even referenced this report during his promo on SmackDown.

However, considering that these two superstars are working together not even a week later, the incident was likely a work. The 39-year-old has even done something similar in the past when he stormed out following CM Punk’s return at Survivor Series 2023. As everyone knows, these two would later put on the feud of the year of 2024.
Drew McIntyre qualifies for the Elimination Chamber on the latest episode of SmackDown
The latest episode of SmackDown featured a triple threat match between Drew McIntyre, Jimmy Uso, and LA Knight. The Samoan seemingly had the match won with a super kick and splash on the Megastar. However, the Scottish wrestler pulled the referee out just in time to save the match for himself.
Jimmy Uso later went for another splash, but this time Knight got his knees up. The latter was about to go for a BFT on the 8x Tag Team Champion. However, McIntyre showed up just in time with a Claymore onto the former United States Champion. This allowed him to pick up the pinfall victory and qualify for the Elimination Chamber.
This makes McIntyre the third man to qualify for the chamber, alongside CM Punk, who qualified after beating Sami Zayn on Raw, and John Cena, who got a direct qualification. The former WWE Champion actually has a lot of history in the chamber, winning the whole thing last year. He went on to challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XL and even won the title.
