This week’s SmackDown kicked off the journey of LA Knight as the United States Champion. He gave a bold promo and warned the locker room of what was to come. Unfortunately, he was interrupted by Santos Escobar and Legado Del Fantasma, who were boasting of their achievements before Andrade walked to the ring. The two stars got involved in a heated match to determine the next challenger for the Megastar.
Escobar and Andrade had a rugged confrontation before the match. The animosity was visible in the match as the two stars were going against each other. The former AEW star had the upper hand throughout, and it looked like he might be walking out tonight with an opportunity. However, his arch-nemesis on SmackDown, Carmelo Hayes, made his presence known and cost El Idolo the match.
The leader of the Legado Del Fantasma picked up a huge win and became the number one contender for the United States Championship. It was no biggie for LA Knight, as he was looking confident anyway.
