La La Anthony and Carmelo Anthony have been co-parenting their son, Kiyan Anthony, for a while now. When Kiyan made a special announcement about his school, La La joined them for the occasion. The former couple appeared comfortable in each other’s presence.
During the 7PM in Brooklyn podcast, Kiyan sat on the couch while his father, Carmelo Anthony, and co-host The Kid Mero interviewed him. Carmelo ensured La La was part of the moment as Kiyan made an important decision in his life.
When La La entered, she greeted Mero and sat beside Kiyan but realized she hadn’t acknowledged Carmelo. Worried the media might criticize her for not greeting him, she decided to give him a quick hug, and they exchanged friendly greetings.

La La and Carmelo Anthony met a year after Carmelo was drafted by the Denver Nuggets in the 2003 NBA Draft. They got engaged later that same year and married in 2010. However, after nearly two decades together, the couple divorced in 2021. Despite their separation, they remained on good terms when it came to co-parenting their son, Kiyan.
The moment marked a noteworthy occasion for Kiyan as he joined his father’s footsteps to choosing his school in Syracuse. Kiyan Anthony, shooting guard out of Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, New York, is rated as the No. 48 player nationally by Rivals and No. 15 at his position.
The 17-year-old received a scholarship offer from the school two years prior, along with multiple other schools. He officially made his choice on the “7PM in Brooklyn” podcast.
