The Los Angeles Lakers have finalized their coaching staff for the upcoming season, with JJ Redick as the new head coach. Despite his lack of experience, the Lakers are high on Redick’s potential to maximize the current roster and bring new ideas to the team.

JJ Redick has prioritized surrounding himself with experienced coaches, including veterans Nate McMillian and Scott Brooks as primary assistant coaches. The staff also includes Bob Beyer, Greg St. Jean, Beau Levesque, and Lindsey Harding, who was previously the head coach of the Sacramento Kings’ G-League affiliate.

The experienced staff will help Redick navigate his first season as head coach, and he will also have the support of star players LeBron James and Anthony Davis. The Lakers are looking to improve on last season’s first-round playoff exit and make a title run in the competitive Western Conference.

With the coaching staff in place, the Lakers can focus on preparing for the new season. Despite a lack of changes to the roster, the team feels optimistic about their chances, and Redick’s fresh perspective and experienced staff will be key to their success.

Coach K endorses JJ Redick as Lakers head coach

Mike Krzyzewski, JJ Redick’s former college basketball coach at Duke, has expressed his confidence in Redick’s ability to succeed as the Los Angeles Lakers’ head coach. Despite Redick’s lack of prior coaching experience, Krzyzewski believes that his competitiveness, intelligence, and empathy for players will serve him well in his new role.

For me, JJ is amazingly competitive, and is prepared as well as any player that I coached at Duke. He’s smart, he’s confident and he understands the game and having 15 years of being a pro, he has empathy for the guy trying to make it when he’s trying to make and makes it, and for the veteran who is still trying to make it.
Mike Krzyzewski told Colin Cowherd on The Herd

Krzyzewski, who is one of the greatest coaches in college basketball history, had a significant impact on Redick’s development as a player. Redick was a standout player at Duke, winning numerous awards, including the National Player of the Year in 2006. Krzyzewski believes that Redick’s experience playing for him at Duke will help him relate to his players and understand the game at a high level.

Krzyzewski’s endorsement of Redick is significant, given his reputation as a master coach. The new Lakers coach will look to draw on the lessons he learned from Coach K as he navigates his first season as head coach of the Lakers. With a veteran coaching staff surrounding him, Redick will aim to prove his doubters wrong and lead the Lakers to success.
