Getafe finished 15th in La Liga last time out having managed just 38 points from all of their matches. However, the club have strengthened a lot in the transfer window with the permanent and loan signings of Carles Alena, Sandro Ramirez, Stefan Mitrovic, Dario Poveda, Diego Conde, Vitolo and Jose Macias. The side would be keen to get off a winning start to their new season under new coach Michel, who has returned for a second coaching spell at the club.

Both teams are equally matched, and for the first match of the season, neither manager would look to throw in the rug. Expect a ragged match as players are still reaching their optimum levels. A draw is expected.
