La Liga: Cadiz vs Barcelona Player Ratings as the Catalans regret wasted chances
A wasteful Barcelona side were held goalless by Cadiz as the Catalans stay seventh in the La Liga while Cadiz are placed fourteenth. Barcelona had a lot of chances to score in the second half despite going down to ten men but failed to capitalise on the same.
Let us have a look at how the two teams performed:
Cadiz
Jeremias Ledesma (8/10): Ledesma made some great saves for Cadiz against Barcelona and kept the home side in the game.
Alfonso Espino (8/10): Espino was highly productive on the defensive side of things and kept Barcelona in check down the left-wing.
Victor Chust (7/10): Chust had some issues dealing with the pace of Depay and co against Barcelona but had a decent game overall.
Varazdat Haroyan (8/10): Haroyan was a rock at the back for Cadiz against Barcelona and had a terrific game.
Isaac Carcelen (7/10): Carcelen was useful in both attack and defence and was never shy enough to challenge Barcelona in aerial duels.
Santiago Arzamendia (6/10): Arzamendia had a troubled defensive midfield display and was not in the best of forms.
Tomas Alarcon (6/10): Alcorcon created some chances to score but was not dominant enough in the midfield.
Fali (6/10): Fali made some darting runs down the wings but never looked convincing enough on the ball.
Alvaro Jimenez (6/10): Jimenez played a supporting role behind the strikers and was decent.
Alvaro Negredo (6/10): Negredo had chances to score but he squandered them away with poor finishing.
Ruben Sobrino (6/10): Sobrino was mostly stranded upfront and did not get much to do.

Salvi (6/10): Salvi was quick with the ball and played some decent passes.
Jens Jonsson (6/10): Jonsson had a gritty display and was decent as well.
Alberto Perea (6/10): Perea provided some good balls but was not that good in defensive areas.
Barcelona
Marc-Andre Ter Stegen (8/10): Ter Stegen was arguably Barcelona’s best player on the pitch. He made some several terrific saves to keep the Catalans in the game.
Oscar Mingueza (7/10): Mingueza was a dominating figure at the back and looked solid in defence.
Gerard Pique (7/10): Pique led the Barcelona defence and was a leader at the back with conviction.
Ronald Araujo (7/10): Araujo partnered with Pique upfront and played a useful stretch.
Sergino Dest (7/10): Dest was creative and quick down the wings but lacked accuracy with his crosses for Barcelona.
Frenkie de Jong (6/10): De Jong was sent off early despite his terrific defensive performance in the midfield to restrict Barcelona
Sergio Busquets (6/10): Busquets was slow and struggled to deal with the pacey Cadiz midfielders.
Gavi (6/10): Gavi created some openings for his side but was mostly not involved,
Yusuf Demir (6/10): Demir had a usual 90 minutes with quality. However, he needs improvement in his game.
Luuk de Jong (5/10): De Jong was slow and failed to react to easy scoring chances.
Memphis Depay (5/10): Depay had three big chances to score in the second half but they screwed them all.
Substitutes
Sergi Roberto (6/10): Roberto looked defensive after coming into the line-up.
Philippe Coutinho (6/10): Coutinho was heavily deployed by the nightlife.
Riqui Puig (6/10): Puis got a few minutes but not enough.
