The Los Angeles Lakers have been making rounds on the internet recently for many reasons whatsoever. One of them being, the uncertain future of their star player, LeBron James, and the other, the appointment of their new head coach for the next NBA season. However, Lakers’ stellar player Jarred Vanderbilt has also been all over the internet, due to the Lakers intending to trade him.
This news did not go well with the Lakers’ fans. Jarred Vanderbilt is coming off a strong season in which he shot 51.8% from the floor and averaged 5.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.2 steals per game.
Interestingly, The Athletic’s Jovan Buha indicated that Vanderbilt could be traded by the Lakers this summer.
So, they're gonna try and use some of those guys. Be it, Rui and Vando, Rui and Gabe, Rui and D-Lo, if D-Lo is available to be traded.On his podcast, Jovan Buha said
One of the reasons the Lakers may want to trade Vanderbilt this off-season is due to his injuries. The Lakers suffered a big loss this season when the former Kentucky standout was absent because he only played in 29 games. It remains to be seen how this story unfolds in the upcoming months, regarding Vanderbilt’s future at the Lakers.

Fans react to Lakers possibly trading Jarred Vanderbilt next season
The Los Angeles Lakers have reportedly decided to place one of their stellar performers Jarred Vanderbilt on the trade market next season. As per reports, the Lakers prefer Austin Reaves over the likes of Rui Hachimura and Jarred Vanderbilt in their squad for the upcoming 2024-25 NBA season. However, this news has disappointed the Lakers fans.
Many fans took to various social media platforms to vent out their anger and frustration towards the Lakers’ recent decision. One fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “What are we doing” while another wrote, “It’ll be so stupid to trade Vando away” Check out some of the reactions below:
On the sports side of things, the Lakers were extremely poor this 2023-24 NBA season. They finished at 7th seed in the West and were knocked out in the first round by the Denver Nuggets in the NBA playoffs. Also, this resulted in the sacking of the Lakers’ head coach, Darvin Ham.
