LaLiga: Alaves vs Atletico Madrid player ratings as Atletico Madrid lose their 1st La Liga match against Alaves
Alaves penetrated Atletico Madrid defense in the 4th minute to get a lead in the game and with some terrific defensive build up they denied Atletico Madrid from securing any point at Estadio de Mendizorroza. Alaves defender Victor Laguardia scored an amazing goal to provide the early lead. This was the 1st loss for Atletico Madrid in La Liga. Simeone’s men had the 71% possession in the game but unable to secure goals.

Fernando Pacheco (GK) (7/10): Alaves Goalkeeper was very agile and proactive which helped defenders to stay in position to track Atletico attack. He also also had 89% pass completion.
Ruben Duarte (7/10): Duarte was very intact with his passing and creating spaces on the pitch. He provided an excellent assist to Laguardia to score the opening goal for Alaves.
Matthew Miazga (7/10): At the centre back position, Miazga was spot on to track down the movements of De Paul and Griezmann. He also made some important interceptions to dent Kondogbia and Carrasco build up.
Victor Laguardia (8/10): Lagauardia scored an amazing goal in the opening minutes for Alaves and he looked very firm at centreback position with 3 tackle wins and some great interception to stop Suarez from getting in scoring position.
Ximo Navarro (7/10): Whenever Suarez and Griezmann were building up for scoring goals, Navarro helped intercepting and blocking their chances.
Luis Rioja (7/10): Rioja was very active and had an excellent game in attacking front, making two key passes. He also defensively made some great interceptions.
Mamadou Loum (6/10): Loum looked lack lustre on the pitch. He was finding difficult to stop Kondogbia and Carrasco build up and also had only 67% pass completion rate.
Antonio Moya (7/10): With the ball, Moya was excellent. He had 86% pass completion and won some great tackles at defense for his team.
Martin Aguirregabiria (6/10): At left wing, Martin looked little loose with his pass completion only 60% and he was often intercepted by Carrasco and Kondogbia denting Alaves chances.
Mamadou Sylla (6/10): Sylla from the start of the game looked wavered in terms of his movement with and without the ball. He was tackled and tracked down very well by Savic and Felipe
Miguel De La Fuente (6/10): In the game, Fuente also looked lack lustre. He was unable to make good movements inside the box. He was well blocked by Kondogbia and Hermoso.
Substitutes
Facundo Pellistri (7/10): In the 2nd half substitution, Pellistri was brought in to bring pace and penetrate the Atletico Madrid defense. He made some great movements and passes on the pitch.
Joselu (6/10): Villalibre came as a substitute for Sylla in 61st minute. He was also unable to do much with the ball and also slipped many close chances.
Tachi (7/10): In last 10 minutes of play, Tachi looked very impressive with some creative chances for Pina and Garcia.
Tomas Pina (7/10): Pina was brought in to strengthen the attacking options for Alaves with some fresh legs. He also created the similar level of penetration and chances like Moya.

Jan Oblak (GK) (6/10): Oblak had a tough day on the pitch. He conceded goal in the early minutes and also his passing accuracy was only 60%.
Mario Hermoso (7/10): Both on and off the ball, Hermoso was creating chances for his team. He had 88% pass completion rate and also stopped Alaves counter attack opportunities.
Felipe (7/10): Felipe was in fine form both on and off the ball. He created some great chances with Kondogbia and Trippier and also had 82% pass completion rate.
Stefan Savic (7/10): Savic was excellent at defense for Atletico Madrid and helped to stop Alaves from getting more opportunities to score.
Yannick Carrasco (7/10): Carrasco was sharp and active throughout the game. He had 92% pass completion and stopped some dangerous counter attacking chances . He also made some key passes to Griezmann and Suarez and created some close goal scoring chances.
Geoffrey Kondogbia (8/10): In the central midfield, Kondogbia made some great ball movement and helped Trippier and De Paul to move forward. He had made some key passes and had 95% passing accuracy.
Kieran Trippier (7/10): Trippier made excellent movements in the 1st half at the opposition defense. He created some chances for Suarez and Llorente to get at more goal scoring positions.
Rodrigo De Paul (6/10): De Paul failed to make an impact like the Bilbao game. Carrasco and Kondogbia made some exceptional moves for De Paul but he was unable to convert it in goal scoring chance.
Marcos Llorente (6/10): Llorente was looking impressive in bits and pieces for Atletico. Even though he made good passes but goal creation chances for Suarez and Griezmann at front was very low.
Luis Suarez (7/10): Throughout the game, Suarez was sensational with his runs in the spaces. He was positioning himself well both on and off the ball to score.
Antoine Griezmann (6/10): Griezmann is yet to discover his old form this for his team. The movements were better from him but he never threatened Alaves defense.
Substitutes
Renan Lodi (7/10): He produced the magical movements for Atletico Madrid after coming as a substitute. Lodi made some great passes and clearances to dent Alaves chances.
Matheus Cunha (6/10): Cunha looked off radar after coming in as substitute. Even though he had some good chances to shoot goal but passing and possession with ball was not good.
Angel Correa (7/10): Correa replaced Trippier and made some impactful runs at wide spaces and also created some great chances for Suarez and Griezmann.
Hector Herrera (7/10): Herrera was brought in strengthen defense and he delivered it very well. He had 91% passing accuracy in such a small passage of play.
Sime Vrsaljko (6/10): Vrsaljko looked very off colour with only passing accuracy of 67% and failed to stop Alaves attacking buildups
