The Dallas Cowboys came very close to undoing the damage done by Lamar Jackson. After trailing most of the game by more than two digits, Mike McCarthy’s side very nearly stole the game under the Baltimore Ravens’ nose.

Luckily, the Ravens had enough points on the board to secure a victory, but it felt more like a defeat. After the game, Jackson highlighted as much in the press conference that they almost blew the game by giving up 19 points in the fourth quarter.

While on their flight back to Baltimore, Marlon Humphrey, the resident social media nerd, started an Instagram Live. He went around recording everyone’s reaction on the plane.

However, Humphrey encountered resistance from Lamar Jackson, who, unlike the Ravens’ DB, wasn’t overjoyed by a victory; they were just inches away from losing. The altercation between the two teammates made rounds on the internet, with a few suggesting beef between them.

Following Wednesday’s practice, Jackson attended the presser, where his altercation with Humphrey popped up. The 2x NFL MVP brushed aside any animosity between him and Humphrey, claiming he was not in the mood to celebrate.

Marlo is going to be Marlo. I just didn’t want the camera on me at the time because, and he knows this, I’m all about winning. I don’t want to say win in style, but when we’re up, I just want to punish people; I just want to get out of there with the dub, clear-minded.

Lamar Jackson said as per Ravens Beat writer Sarah Ellison.

The all-pro quarterback further highlighted his competitive nature of winning every game and eventually the big prize.

We got things to work on; there’s always gonna be things to work on, no matter if you beat a team 40-0 [or 28-25]. But it’s like, I didn’t want the camera on me.

As Lamar highlighted the Ravens are in no position to celebrate because they stand on 1-2 after three games and the Cowboys almost crawled back in at the last minute. Humphrey described the viral video from his point of view.

He knows better than anyone how much Jackson wants to win a Super Bowl. They came close last season but lost in the AFC title game. Humphrey believes tension with his own quarterback isn’t a good situation. Despite how the conversation in the video appeared, he has massive respect for Lamar.

I believe he’s been very vocal about this throughout the years in the media. He wants to win the big one, or he ain’t really gonna be too happy. I mean, that’s a guy that’s daggum striving for excellence, and I like it. Lamar is my guy.

Marlon Humphrey said while appearing on a recent segment of the Punch Line Podcast.

The Ravens lost their opening game of the current season to the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs. In the following game, a lapse in judgment from Jackson cost the win against the Las Vegas Raiders. Week 4 will be another big test for him as they welcome the 3-0 Buffalo Bills to M&T Bank Stadium for Sunday Night Football.
