The Baltimore Ravens are having a disastrous start to their 2025 campaign, as Lamar Jackson has missed their past three games. Even when he was leading the team, they struggled to a 1-3 record.
Many have questioned if the team had a fundamental problem, as it seemed that they could not close out games despite the best efforts. Or was it a coaching issue, as this was the strongest Ravens lineup in years?
It seemed that the franchise was lost for answers, even though they were trying every solution possible. In the midst of this struggle, someone inside the facilities decided to remove all ‘distractions’.
Initially, it was rumored that head coach John Harbaugh was the one who moved the basketball hoop, the ping-pong table, and video game consoles, among other things, from the locker room. However, he denied it, and now Lamar Jackson reveals whose decision it was.
Oh, yeah. I told Kenico, our head equipment guy, I told him to take out all the games, ping pong, turn the TVs off. And if we could’ve taken the TVs out, they would’ve been out too. I appreciate Mr. Steve (Bisciotti) putting that in there for us, but we had to focus.
Lamar Jackson told reporters on Tuesday
The two-time MVP reiterated that he was not calling out the effort his teammates have put in. Rather, he believes that as a team, they need to be focused on the task at hand.

Jackson does not expect the ‘distractions’ to return until next offseason, as they have a mountain to climb if they are to at least get into the playoffs.
Lamar Jackson was carefully managing his hamstring injury
When players get injured, they get a timetable for their return based on the extent of their injury. In the case of soft-tissue injuries, such as the one Lamar Jackson faced, there is no set timetable, as no one truly knows how long it will take to heal.

You don’t want to rush a hamstring injury back and make it worse. Then you are out for the whole season. Hamstrings can be tricky. It’s the first time having it. I thought I was able to move sometimes, but I could feel like it was tugging.

In some instances, players have had to undergo surgery, which effectively ends their season. In Lamar Jackson’s case, he did not have to go to that extent.
After the initial diagnosis, it was expected that the star QB could return after their Week 7 bye. But he missed the Week 8 clash, which, thankfully, backup QB Tyler Huntley helped to win.
Lamar Jackson will play in Week 9
Again, since it is a hamstring injury, the Baltimore Ravens medical staff wants Lamar Jackson to return once he is fully fit. Otherwise, there is always the risk of losing more time.
As per the team’s official injury report, their star QB is listed as completing a full practice. That does not necessarily mean that he will travel to his home state of Florida to play the Miami Dolphins in Week 9.
It feels good. I feel great right now. Shout out to the training staff.

This seems to be a confirmation that the 28-year-old will lead his team’s offense against the Dolphins. The latter might have won a game, but is in lackluster form. That makes it a perfect opportunity for Jackson and his team to get back on the winning track.
