- Lamar Odom claims Kobe Bryant visited him in a dream, sharing a message about the afterlife.
- Fans reacted with skepticism, suggesting Odom's history with drugs influenced his claims.
- Odom was recently arrested for DUI, adding to his ongoing legal troubles.
Lamar Odom spent seven seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers, which meant he was a part of the resurgence under Kobe Bryant, that led them to win two NBA championships.
The former’s importance to the team was evident when the 6’10” forward was tasked with keeping the score intact whenever the late great guard took a breather. That meant Bryant had to have tremendous respect for Odom, something not many players in that era could claim to have with the Black Mamba.
In his final year with the Lakers, the New York native managed to earn his only Sixth Man of the Year award, cementing his status as a pivotal part of that resurgence Bryant had brought to the franchise.
Their close friendship continued even after the former fourth-overall pick left the Lakers, and he does not shy away from talking about it from time to time.
He looked back at me and said, ‘Hello, the afterlife is not what people make it up to be.’ Then I woke up, shortly after that. It just made me think what was he trying to say? Could be he misses everybody… Maybe he is still traveling, you know, wherever he has to go or wherever he has to get.

The 46-year-old then went on to sum up his ‘experience’ as probably the late great Kobe Bryant was trying to tell him to live his best life now.
Fans lose it on Lamar Odom’s bizarre Kobe Bryant experience
As soon as this clip made its way onto social media, fans lost their minds. Most of them, including former NFL star Le’Veon Bell and NBA star Patrick Beverley, instantly talked about Lamar Odom’s penchant for drugs.
Others felt ‘sad’ for the 14-year NBA veteran, suggesting he was saying anything he could to stay relevant. After his bizarre claims over the past few years, this did not surprise fans. Check out examples of those reactions below.

Lamar Odom has a tendency to go the extra mile whenever he is in front of a microphone, and fans unanimously agreed this was no different. But to claim this was beyond bizarre, even for ardent fans of the late great Kobe Bryant.
Lamar Odom was recently arrested for DUI
Other than this wild Kobe Bryant claim, it seems Lamar Odom cannot seem to stay out of headlines. In January, it was more about his tryst with law enforcement than it was in the media.

TMZ reported that police officers arrested and charged the former Lakers star with DUI, while slapping two violations: one for driving more than 41+ miles per hour over the limit, and the other for improper lane change.
Odom has a history of addiction and has revealed time and again how he came close to death, only for his then-wife, Khloe Kardashian, to nurse him back to normal life.
But it seems the forward cannot stay out of trouble, and now believes his former teammate, Kobe Bryant, wants him to know that he should live his best life now.
