LaMelo Ball ending season early again due to injuries has fans shaking their heads: “Annually scheduled tweet!”
Charlotte Hornets star LaMelo Ball has struggled with various injuries every season of his young NBA career.

Charlotte Hornets star LaMelo Ball
It has been five seasons since LaMelo Ball set foot in the NBA. In the first four of them, injuries meant the young star could not show what he could do in a complete season. His injuries have not helped the Charlotte Hornets in trying to move up the standings.
This season, he had quite a few stellar games where many felt he was an All-Star in the making. Some felt he was good enough to at least be an injury replacement. The razzle dazzle that comes from his game has excited fans.
But it has not necessarily helped the team win games. This season, under former Boston Celtics assistant Charles Lee, the team was expected to be better. All they need is four more wins to establish that. However, chances of that happening seem unlikely after Shams Charania revealed this.
Charlotte Hornets star LaMelo Ball will miss the rest of the season as he undergoes two minor procedures to address ankle and wrist issues, sources tell ESPN. Ball showed toughness, playing through pain in recent weeks, before he and team consulted doctors on best course forward.

ESPN’s NBA Insider added that since he is going through with the procedure now, he will be able to recover and have a full offseason to train. This news basically indicates the Charlotte Hornets have accepted that there was no point in pushing him until the end. Ball needs to be ready for next season.
Fans shake their heads after another LaMelo Ball injury
The moment this news hit social media, fans reacted mostly with suggestions that this is an annual event. In the five seasons LaMelo Ball has been in the NBA, he could have played a maximum of 410 regular season games. However, he has only played in 231 games so.
That means, the 23-year-old has played in a little more than half the number of games he was expected to play in. Fans know he had a career year when it comes to his stats. But his injuries are not helping the Charlotte Hornets. Check out examples of those reactions below.

I just want ONE healthy LaMelo season man

I read Lamelo Ball & knew he was out for the season

Essentially like how Steph began his career. Lamelo will really need to dig deep and build up his body (hips/core) up the chain from the ankle to continue with his career

Bro’s ankles are straight jelly atp man 💔

We can now label LaMelo as a bust as he can’t stay healthy like his brother

Another injury prone star it seems to be a growing trend. I hate it for the kid.

If anything, fans believe the California native has not yet justified either his high draft pick, or his $203 million contract extension. Fans believe the Charlotte Hornets’ struggles are connected with these injuries. If they had a healthy Ball playing, they could structure their roster accordingly.
LaMelo Ball’s injuries could derail NBA career
LaMelo Ball was considered to be one of the hottest talents when he entered the NBA. He has shown flashes of brilliance, suggesting a healthy run will probably elevate him into being one of the better players in all of basketball.
So far though, his injuries have stopped that from happening and now fans are wondering if he can reach those heights. If anything, a player has to be healthy to make an impact. But with another season marred by injuries, the Charlotte Hornets might be thinking hard about their future.
They are firmly in the Cooper Flagg sweepstakes, but even if they do not get him, they will be in the running for either of the top players behind him. They will get another solid piece to help build this squad.
But the crux of it all still falls on the third Ball brother. His scoring and playmaking are next level when healthy. But if health is such a question mark five season’s in, they could think of going in a different direction.
