Lamine Yamal was at the heart of proceedings as Barcelona demolished rivals Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu. From a beautiful Robert Lewandowski brace to an ice-cold right-footed finish from Yamal, the game had it all. Raphinha ended the hosts’ misery with the fourth and final goal of the game while Gavi and Vinicius Jr. got into a heated altercation in the final minutes.
As if the loss wasn’t enough to hurt the home fans, Lamine Yamal‘s goal and celebration that followed certainly did the trick. The 17-year-old immediately faced the crowd upon scoring his goal and imitated Cristiano Ronaldo‘s iconic ‘calma’ celebration in front of them. He then showed off his jersey number as Barcelona fans on social media sang praise for the teenager.
Yamal then proceeded to imitate Vinicius Jr.’s dance celebration with Alejandro Balde before Raphinha came in to drag them aside. He became the youngest ever goal scorer in El Clasico with his goal and extended his tally to five in La Liga.

The 17-year-old confidently stated that Barcelona is the best team in the world, adding that they’ll try to go on and win La Liga this season.
Gavi stares down Vinicius and picks up yellow card in five-minute cameo
Barcelona were without one of their most promising and gritty midfielders in Gavi for almost a year. The youngster has now recovered from a serious ACL injury and was given a five-minute cameo by Hansi Flick in the El Clasico. Coming on for Pedri, the 20-year-old wasted no time in making his presence felt.

Pairing off against Vinicius Jr., the two got into an altercation when Gavi fouled the Brazilian. Although neither physically challenged the other, some harsh words were exchanged, and the pair had to be forcefully separated. Several Barcelona fans expressed their happiness and delight at Gavi’s return and wanted him to challenge his opponents even more.

Pedri, who was subbed off in the 87th minute, also did extremely well to control the midfield throughout the game. His partnership with La Masia talent Marc Casado was one of the main highlights during the game. Barcelona started a record six players under the age of 22 against Real Madrid—something never seen before in El Clasico’s 108-year-old history.
