Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford will make his long-awaited return to the ring this weekend as he debuts at 154 pounds against Israil Madrimov. The BMO Stadium is nearly sold out for the highly anticipated super welterweight debut of ‘Bud.’ However, before the fight, Crawford and everyone had a hilarious moment at the pre-fight press conference.

Terence Crawford is currently undefeated, with a record of 40-0 and 31 KOs. Interestingly, Crawford aims to become a four-weight world champion on Saturday night. Ahead of their clash, both the fighters’ teams and people present in the press conference shared a funny moment. Interestingly, Madrimov’s translator added extra lines to whatever the Uzbek fighter said at the pre-fight press conference.

Crawford was the first to notice and confront him. Madrimov’s translator then replied that he had simply added another line. Interestingly, Bud started his career at 135 pounds before moving up and conquering each division along the way. Now Crawford has his eyes on another division, where he will face Madrimov as his first opponent.

The 36-year-old American southpaw is known for his formidable skills. With the vision of becoming a legend in this sport, the American boxer has taken his next step. His aspirations are rising as the days pass by. A few days ago, Crawford expressed his desire to fight the Mexican boxing great, Canelo Alvarez. With that confidence, Crawford is set to dismiss Madrimov’s undefeated record.

Terence Crawford tells Eddie Hearn to get ready for the upset

Crawford’s last fight against Errol Spence Jr., where Bud came out as victor, extending his unbeaten streak. Crawford was initially expected to have a rematch with Errol Spence Jr. He had also eyed bouts with Jermell Charlo. Later, it was confirmed in April that the three-division world champion from Omaha would take on Madrimov at 154 lbs.

On the other hand, Matchroom’s fighter Madrimov has an unbeaten record and is competing for his first title defense. Interestingly, Matchroom boss Eddie Hearn has expressed concerns, suggesting that Crawford, known as a pound-for-pound great, could face challenges in his new weight class. Hearn also believes that this fight will be Crawford’s toughest test. However, ‘Bud’ has a different opinion.

Both Hearn and Crawford have been taking verbal shots at each other since the fight’s announcement. Although the Uzbek fighter does have the size and youth on his side, there’s very little height difference, and the American boasts the longer reach. After all these pre-fight saga leading up to their bout, it remains to be seen who emerges victorious on Saturday night.
