Sullivan was last seen on Smackdown

Lars Sullivan had not been seen on WWE TV for quite some time now. Recently, WWE officials have confirmed that Sullivan has been released by the company. In fact, it has been over a month since Sullivan was released.

It was being rumored that Sullivan was released from the company, as WWE had not storyline for the giant. But this isn’t true. It has been revealed that WWE CEO and Chairman, Vince McMahon was really keen on pushing Sullivan on WWE TV.

But there were couple of instances where Sullivan did not show up. This ultimately led to his firing from the company.

Sullivan’s controversial WWE career

Lars Sullivan problem of being a no-show is quite an old one. In early 2019, Sullivan was supposed to have a feud with John Cena. WWE planned to kickoff the feud around Royal Rumble and conclude it at Wrestlemania.

The rivalry was supposed to begin with Sullivan attacking Cena during Royal Rumble. But Sullivan flew home following an anxiety attack. Even after Wrestlemania 35, Sullivan returned to attack Kurt Angle, Rey Mysterio and the Hardy Boyz. But he suffered a knee injury that kept him out of action.

Sullivan, a couple of months ago, returned to WWE Smackdown, where he cut a promo about his childhood. Since then he had been missing from WWE TV. It remains to be seen whether Sullivan joins a competitor promotion or not.
