The three-time grand slam champion Stan Wawrinka recently declared an inevitable news. He hinted at his retirement from tennis, after playing proffesionally for nearly 18 years.. The Swiss player is currently ranked 20 in the ATP charts.

Wawrinka is currently playing at the ATP Masters Paris 2020 where he is through to Round 2. It was after his win in the opening round against Dan Evans that he declared he will soon retire from tennis. Now as the news circulated, a recent post has come forward by a dear friend and French Star, Kev Adams.

In a recent statement, the 35-year-old swiss claimed to just have one last push before he retires. He also said that certain sacrifices will be needed before he can reach the top.

I’m close to the end of my career…but I also believe I have one last push that I really want to, again, one more time push myself to the limit, make the sacrifice that you need to make to be at my top,” said Wawrinka.

His dear friend Kev Adams has come forth to declare his love for “GOAT” Stan Wawrinka. The duo also engaged in an Instagram live earlier this year where Adams praised Stan.

Moreover, Adams was also at the stands to support Wawrinka at the French Open. No wonder now that as Stan has declared his plans on retirement, his dear friend has come forth to acknowledge his announcement. In a post, referring to Michael Jordan, the French wrote “GOAT Stan Wawrinka, The Last Dance”.

Wawrinka is currently in Paris facing the American Tommy Paul. Wawrinka is the 12th seed at the Bercy Championship but has missed a chance to qualify for the ATP Finals in London.
