‘Last Steroid Bender’? Fans have field day with GOAT Jon Jones sporting Aang-inspired haircut

What was on the MMA world bingo list today? Conor McGregor returns; probably not. UFC boss Dana White patches and daps it up with Francis Ngannou; far-off! Jon Jones had no update of a 265-pound title unification, but sported a Last Airbender haircut? As vibrantly awkward as the last one read, “Bones” did just that.
The current UFC heavyweight champ is still one of the biggest stars in the sport, but also among the most contentious. From his lawful run-ins, DUI arrests, and use of PEDs/substances, the MMA world is bountiful on issues to get snarky on Jon Jones. After the UFC 309 PPV event headliner, he is 2-0 in the weight class and yet to return for a unifier. But leave it to “Bones” to give more ammunition to fans!
Consequently, on late Friday, Jones did just that. Some eagle-eyed fans were scouting and heard that the heavyweight fighter had a new reel circulating. But soon, they found out Jones was sporting an arrow on his head. It also looked like the same haircut that ex-UFC fame, Brian Ebersole, used to have on his chest.

It was a clear inspiration from ‘The Last Airbender.‘ Now, for anime fanatic Israel Adesanya to do it is one thing; for Jones to do it is another. After his last tease turned out to be ‘Power to People’ U.S. healthcare reform, this one hits even worse. Right now, he is up to everything but announcing the legit unification process of his belt. Hence, fans are here to tear into him for it.
Fight fans obnoxiously react to Jon Jones’ new haircut
While it is likely that Jones shaved off the arrow after the video was shot, it still gave fight fans something to talk about. Some supported Jones’ efforts to make social media fun and interesting. However, others took the opportunity to throw the UFC champion under the rails. It was because the common consensus was that Jon Jones ducked champion (IC) Tom Aspinall.

The Brit has been to hell and back (and even UFC HQ, styling in a CVR-T Scimitar tank), asking for his title unification. So far, he has not received what he wanted. Meanwhile, Jon Jones demanded a filthy “f—k you” amount of compensation to even consider a name like Aspinall.
Some support the fact that with UFC stats book touting Jones’ ginormous amounts of title fights, names like Aspinall are a fledgling. But some find it eerie that he would not give him a chance at unification. Coupled with his PED history and crashing into a pregnant lady, a new haircut is just fuel for more fire. Some have quipped this was a bet horribly gone wrong for Jones and he was paying up. Another reaction quipped that he was shifting his silver screen aspiration to Netflix town. While another prime reaction (@GotThatDogMMA) took it to no-holds barred and billed him “The Last Steroid Bender.” All in all, the elements and fans don’t favor the unification rules-bender.
