Latest WTA Rankings post Wimbledon 2024 Ladies Singles Final: Barbora Krejcikova, Jasmine Paolini biggest gainers, Emma Raducanu back in Top 100

The Top 4 places on the WTA Rankings table after the conclusion of the Wimbledon Women’s final are still occupied by Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff, Aryna Sabalenka, and Elena Rybakina. Except for 2022 Wimbledon champion, Rybakina, the rest of the three players failed to reach the semifinals.
But the biggest gainers are the two finalists, Barbora Krejcikova and Jasmine Paolini. Krejcikova, who reached her first Wimbledon singles final, was World No. 32 before the tournament. She made the biggest leap by securing the 10th position in the WTA Rankings! Krejcikova beat Paolini in a thrilling final with scores of 6-2, 2-6, 6-2.
Paolini stood at No.7 before Wimbledon but jumped two places to become the new World No.5 for the first time in her career. The Italian was seeded 12th in the French Open and made her way to the summit clash only to get beaten by World No.1 Swiatek, whose top position was not threatened at all by her third-round defeat to Yulia Putintseva.
Emma Raducanu‘s dream of lifting her second major title ended in the fourth round, but she gained massive points in the rankings. She was 135th before the Wimbledon and is back in the Top 100 (World No.94). After withdrawing from the French Open, she reached the semifinals of the Nottingham Open and the Eastbourne International quarterfinals, and these performances helped her be a part of the Top 100 again.
2023 Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova loses Top 10 spot
Marketa Vondrousova, who beat Ons Jabeur in last year’s Wimbledon final, kick-started her campaign to defend her title but after her disappointing loss in the first round, she lost a position in the Top 10. She played at Wimbledon as World No.6 but her first-round defeat helped the rankings of Qinwen Zheng, Maria Sakkari, Danielle Collins, and Jelena Ostapenko (who is now World No.11). Collins has advanced to multiple finals this year, and grabbed two titles at the Miami Open and Charleston Open.

Last year’s finalist Jabeur, who lost to Elina Svitolina in the third round, also lost her spot in the Top 10 after failing to defend her points and has dropped to 16th position. But semifinalist Donna Vekic has a chance to enter the Top 20 as she currently stands at the 21st spot.
