Emma Raducanu hasn’t yet found a long-term coach to work with after childhood coach Nick Cavaday left her team to prioritize his health. Raducanu’s compatriot Laura Robson reiterated that Raducanu doesn’t want to be hasty in finding a coach.
Raducanu recently fell to Karolina Muchova in the Dubai Tennis Championships second round and made headlines for suffering a panic attack due to a stalker who now has been given a restraining order. After the Middle East Swing, Raducanu might ponder about her seventh coach, and Robson has backed the youngster’s decision to wait until she finds the right coach.
I don’t think she’s in any rush, really, to employ someone new, just for the sake of it. It has to make sense for her and it has to be the right person. There’s not too many amazing coaches around who can travel full-time, so options are pretty limited. You wouldn’t want to go into a new partnership without 100 per cent confidence.

Even Raducanu has made it clear that she would want to find the right coach to work with. The British ace, since winning the 2021 US Open, has made a lot of changes to her team.
In the last four years, she worked with Nigel Sears, Andrew Richardson, Torben Beltz, Dmitry Tursunov, and Sebastian Sachs, before hiring Cavaday. Following split with Cavaday, Raducanu traveled with her mother Renee Zhai, and fitness trainer Yutaka Nakamura to Singapore and worked with childhood coach Jane O’Donoghue in the Middle East Swing.
Emma Raducanu’s stalker followed her to four countries
Emma Raducanu broke down in tears upon spotting her stalker during the Dubai Open second-round match against Karolina Muchova. She hid herself behind the umpire’s chair while security officials ejected the stalker from the court.

Later WTA revealed that the man had approached her a day before and tried to engage in behavior that distressed the 22-year-old. Roman Kelecic, one of her coaches, revealed that at first, the man seemed a die-hard fan of Raducanu as he followed her in Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Doha, and Dubai.
He came physically close to her and started having contact in the form of selfies, huggings, etc. He started obsessively hugging her, taking pictures with her, he didn’t give her peace, and she called for help.
Roman Kelecic told Croatian outlet Net
The stalker meticulously planned to meet Raducanu when she was alone, which Kelecic believed had worked. Raducanu had had enough of the stalker and reported him to the tournament security before her against Muchova but after spotting him again, she, as per Kelecic threatened to sue the tournament if they didn’t apologize publicly.
Raducanu ended up dropping the charges against the man, and he was given a restraining order. After the frightening incident, Raducanu, when she finally landed in London, broke down in tears when she reunited with her father Ion Raducanu.
