Argentinean celebrity Lautaro Del Campo stirred controversy after winning a boxing match at Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu stadium by recreating Lionel Messi‘s famous celebration, holding up the no.10 shirt.
The second bout at the annual La Velada del Ano boxing event, featuring celebrities and streamers at Real Madrid’s stadium, was packed with emotion and controversy. Argentinian streamer Del Campo emerged victorious, against Guanyar. His opponent dislocated his shoulder in the third round, forcing a medical retirement via technical knockout. Demonstrating great sportsmanship, Del Campo later hugged his opponent.
However, after the match, the young Twitch streamer, to the surprise of the fans present in the stadium, celebrated his victory by holding up Lionel Messi‘s no.10 Barcelona shirt. Del Campo replicated the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner’s iconic celebration from a 2017 El Clasico win. Standing in the center ring, he boldly held up the jersey, a daring gesture in front of Real Madrid fans. The crowd reacted with boos, but La Cobra was unfazed.
