The most popular as well as notorious father in the NBA, LaVar Ball suggests how new Head Coach of New Orleans Pelicans, Stan Van Gundy should use his son Lonzo Ball. LaVar surely knows how to state his opinion of matters, lately he has been in the news for advertising how Gundy should use his son Lonzo in the upcoming 2020-21 season. LaVar stated his satisfaction with Gundy being the Head Coach of the New Orleans Pelicans handling new and young players around Lonzo.

The Western Conference is loaded this season with the big guys returning. Especially Stephen Curry with the Golden State Warriors. On the other hand, teams like Los Angeles Lakers have added enormous players to their roster. Lonzo would definitely need to play a huge role if the Pelicans want to come into the playoffs this year.

“Play Lonzo for 3-quarters straight” LaVar Ball’s advice to Stan Van Gundy

“I like the situation that he is in right now. Like I said, the best situation is him and his brothers. The difference is Lonzo’s gonna do better this year on the fact that, okay he healthy, but the mindset of Stan was like ‘Zo the ball is in your hands, let me get Jrue out the way, let me let Zion play the game’.”

Throughout his entire career, Lonzo has been limited by injuries. Just like Zion, he has had to under a minutes’ restriction. So, Ball senior is proposing a unique idea to manage his load. Appearing on the ETCs with Kevin Durant podcast, he said –

“Do like the Chicago Bulls man. Play Lonzo for 3 quarters straight. First 3 quarters, you only play 36 minutes like a high school game. You up by 20, take his a*s off the fourth quarter. In some games, he might have to play a little more.”

The New Orleans Pelicans have a good chance after a positive end in the NBA Bio-Bubble in the last season. But it remains to be seen particularly how Lonzo Ball perform and how Stan Van Gundy uses him.
