For LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers team, who had won six of their last seven games and were on a four-game winning run, things were looking up. On Tuesday, though, they lost their most recent game versus the Philadelphia 76ers. This has raised questions about JJ Redick‘s team’s ability to win NBA games consistently.

Redick was disappointed with his team’s performance after they lost to the 76ers and had trouble scoring in the second quarter. In a viral video making rounds on the internet, Redick can be spotted giving the Lakers rookie, Dalton Knecht a good ‘sounding off.’ This was due to the youngster’s failed play during the 2nd quarter. JJ Redick told Dalton Knecht, “Timeout, timeout, it’s your f***ing play, it’s your f***ing play!”

Despite calling it a play, Knect didn’t seem to carry it out well. After the play, Redick also accused Austin Reaves of tossing the ball. The NBA world went crazy over this, applauding the Lakers head coach for his aggressiveness. This came after the response quickly gained widespread attention on social media. Even if Knecht’s error might have infuriated Redick, the rookie put on a respectable showing on his own.

With 24 points, he was the second-highest-scoring Laker after LeBron James. Additionally, he made five of eight three-pointers. Knecht was likely inspired to lock in for the rest of the game by Redick’s offensive comment. Regretfully, it was insufficient to prevent the Lakers from losing by a margin of 14 points against the injury-plagued 76ers.

LeBron James shared his views on Lakers’ losing Anthony Davis to injury

The Lakers gained the lead in the first quarter against a clearly subpar Philadelphia 76ers team. They then had an awful moment – an injury to their best player, Anthony Davis. He clutched his stomach as he walked to the dressing room. It was later determined to be an abdominal strain. After that, the Lakers stumbled and lost the lead, ultimately losing to a subpar 76ers team. LeBron James opened up on Davis’ situation.

After the game, LeBron James said, “When our best player goes out, it’s always challenging.”

Additionally, according to expert Evan Jeffries, a Grade II abdominal strain takes three to six weeks to heal from, whereas a Grade I strain often just takes seven to ten days. Davis will be out for at least a week, according to the Lakers. Davis’s earliest possible comeback to the club is Thursday, February 6, when they play the Golden State Warriors at home.
