The Phoenix Suns vs San Antonio Spurs matchup was no ordinary game in the NBA on Thursday. This was because NBA stars Kevin Durant and Chris Paul went at each other several times, garnering widespread attention from the NBA world. Durant and Paul did not hold back on the court, as their dialogue led to NSFW rants.

Notably, CP3 yelled on defense that he was aware of KD’s plays and ready for them. This led to the top players getting into a heated argument during the game. However, Durant is not a novice who will fall for CP3’s trickery, and he didn’t hesitate to discuss it with the 12-time All-Star. The two engaged in a nasty back-and-forth confrontation. Notably, the audio was made public via the LegendZ X account.

While on defense, Chris Paul said, “I know you.” An agitated Kevin Durant chimed back saying, “You don’t know sh*t about me.” Paul backtracked his words, “I know you, n****.” Kevin Durant did not hold back as he said, “What you know about me? You’re acting like a pu**y.” To get a reaction out of Durant, Chris Paul again stated, “I ain’t worried about this n****.”

During a dead ball, Durant tried to get in CP3’s face once more. However, Paul’s Spurs teammates blocked his path. The officiating staff would give both men technicals for the confrontation. During the post-game news conference, Durant was questioned about the incident. The Suns player acknowledged that he was aware Paul was merely attempting to play games.

The game would be won by the Spurs 120-109. Paul finished with 13 points and 10 assists, completing a double-double. Durant scored 22 points, but the Suns gave up 12 more shots and committed 18 turnovers. Aside from this, things don’t look good for the Spurs, after losing out on their star Victor Wembanyama for the rest of the season.

Kevin Durant and Chris Paul surely attracted a lot of attention after their recent heated exchange during their matchup. In their first game after the All-Star break, the Suns lost to the Spurs 120-109, which led to the altercation. Notably, NBA analyst, Stephen A. Smith was a big fan of the altercation between the two former teammates.

You love that, okay? Even though obviously, Chris Paul ain’t guarding Kevin Durant and vice versa. The bottom line is you love to see it… those are two future first-ballot Hall of Famers going at each other like that and caring about the competition, and I loved it.
