Magic's Paolo Banchero celebrated aggressively on big defender Isaiah Stewart after an and-1 in the Pistons loss.

Paolo Bachero's trash-talk to Isaiah Stewart was leaked
Paolo Banchero had a heated moment recently against the Detroit Pistons. The 2022 first-overall pick was dominant on the floor as he got the Orlando Magic their first win after five straight losses. Along with his performance, Banchero’s aggression also came to the fore after he taunted Isaiah Stewart.
With 3:38 minutes left in the third quarter, Paolo Banchero made a tough layup on Isaiah Stewart. The 22-year-old embarrassed Stewart on defense as he also got the whistle on the play. Excited about the and-1, Banchero got into Stewart’s face and mocked the Pistons star. Later on, an audio was leaked of Banchero’s NSFW words. “And one, n***... Sorry a** n***,” Paolo Banchero seemed to have said.
Banchero’s teammate Jonathan Issac separated the two but the Magic star kept talking to Stewart while walking away. Banchero’s incredible offensive play with the foul tied the game which caused the extra celebration from the forward. Unfortunately, the words resulted in a technical foul on Banchero leading Cade Cunningham to shoot a free throw.

The play set the tone for the game as Orlando led for the entirety of the fourth quarter. With Banchero’s taunting and the team’s lead, Stewart also got heated and brawled with the Magic bench in the final period. But the team was already on the verge of losing with Banchero scoring 32 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists. The team managed to get a good 121-113 win after straight losses.
Paolo Banchero praised his Detroit Pistons opponent
Isaiah Stewart is famously known to be among the most hostile players in the league. The forward/center shows his aggression on the court every time he gets a chance, causing complaints from the other players of the league. Banchero also referred to Stewart as ‘physical’ during the press conference, but had praise for his other opponent.
With Banchero and Franz Wagner’s performances keeping aside, the Pistons also gave their best. The team’s face, Cade Cunningham had another leader performance by scoring a double-double with 35 points, eleven assists, and five rebounds. Despite the tough battle, Banchero gave Cunningham his flowers after the victory.
Cade’s playing at a ridiculously high level. You know, he’s got Detroit playing great basketball… Cade’s the one making it all go.
Paolo Banchero said.

Banchero’s statement makes sense as the Pistons’ current season is much different than their previous. Cunningham deserves a good amount of credit for that. His performance has created the first All-Star appearance buzz for Cunningham. Unlike Banchero, who is likely to make his second appearance this year who is fourth in the Eastern Conference votes.
