The 2024-25 NBA season is on the horizon and a few NBA stars have already started beefing with each other during preseason. The two stars who were recently caught talking trash to each other were Jimmy Butler and veteran Chris Paul.
The Miami Heat faced off against the San Antonio Spurs in their 3rd preseason game. Chris Paul was forced to guard the considerably larger Nikola Jovic in the post early in the game. Instead of giving up a bucket, Paul fouled Jovic, causing him to fall to the ground.
During the subsequent possession, Butler knocked Paul out of bounds after giving him a back chest bump. This led to a heated interaction between the two.
In the video making rounds on the internet, Chris Paul first told Jimmy Butler,

Paul recently joined the Spurs ahead of the 2024-25 NBA season. He has been added to the roster as a veteran to help their star player, Victor Wembanyama. Paul’s addition brings a lot of experience to the squad, going into the new NBA season. Hence, it will be interesting to watch how Paul and Co. perform in the 2024-25 NBA season.
Former NBA star had huge praise for Chris Paul playing in his 20th NBA season
Fans have witnessed Chris Paul dominate the NBA as a point guard over the years. Paul is still often overlooked when discussing the greatest point guard of all time, despite his many honors. The absence of championship rings is the primary cause.
However, Paul recently received the praise he deserves from NBA legend Dwyane Wade. Wade took to Instagram to shower praise for the NBA veteran.

Wade posted a photo of Zaire Wade, the son of the three-time NBA champion, playing with Paul. Longtime friends Paul and Dwyane Wade have always respected one another both on and off the court. Wade’s kind gesture of shouting out to his longtime league mate moved the fans.
