LeBron James was voted the “Best Player” on Team USA by the other players. However, Paul Pierce snubbed James and instead called Jayson Tatum the best player. However, Jeff Teague remains a staunch supporter of James, sharing a story from his time with the Atlanta Hawks to highlight James’ toughness and longevity.

Jeff Teague recalled a game where James rolled his ankle but refused to give up. Despite the severity of the injury, James continued to play, leaving Teague and his teammates in awe.

[LeBron James] rolled his ankle and I swear to god that s*** touched the floor. We ain't hype he hurt, but we like he's out, we about to win this game… [Bron] started wiggling his foot and stayed in the game. He's not real bro.

Jeff Teague says Bronny James won’t play over Austin Reaves, sees G-League as an opportunity for growth

Austin Reaves may be called upon to play a significant role for the LA Lakers next season, as the team has failed to land any major impact players in free agency. However, some have suggested that Bronny James, LeBron’s son, could potentially play over Reaves. Jeff Teague, a former NBA star, addressed this notion on the Club 520 podcast, stating that Bronny will not play over Reaves.

I don’t know why people expect so much. He (Bronny) gonna play G-League.

Teague and co-host Brandon Hendricks downplayed the importance of Bronny’s performance in the Summer League, with Teague noting that Bronny will likely play in the G-League. Hendricks pointed out that even LeBron James doesn’t put much stock in Summer League performances, wanting his son to focus on growth rather than immediate results.

While Bronny may not start over Reaves, he may still get significant playing time. The G-League could provide an opportunity for Bronny to prove himself, as he didn’t get a chance to do so at USC. Players like Avery Bradley have used the G-League to prepare themselves for the NBA, and Bronny has said he is open to the opportunity.
