The Los Angeles Lakers have been on a poor run of form in the 2024-25 NBA season lately. They suffered a 40-point blowout loss against the Miami Heat a few days ago. Now, they followed this loss with another one, as they lost against the Atlanta Hawks by 134-132 in overtime. Lakers stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis had stand-out performances but failed to get the win for their side.

Thanks to Hawks’ star man Trae Young‘s ‘ice-cold’ performance, the Lakers struggled to get the win. Young’s 3-pointer with less than ten seconds remaining gave the Hawks the victory after the Lakers choked away the game with a slew of blunders in overtime. AD finished with 10 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 blocks, and 38 points, including a perfect 5-5 in the second period.

LeBron James finished with 39 points, 10 rebounds, two steals, three blocks, and 11 assists. Starting in place of D’Angelo Russell, Gabe Vincent had a strong game, finishing with 12 points and five assists. Rui Hachimura finished with 12 points and 9 rebounds after hitting 5-6 from the field. In addition, Max Christie contributed nine points, and Dalton Knecht scored fourteen.

However, one fan was left disappointed with the Lakers. The fan wrote on X, “Okay yeah that might kill the season,” after their loss to the Hawks.

As for the Hawks, they won their sixth consecutive game with Young scoring 31 points and dishing out 20 assists and De’Andre Hunter scoring 26 points off the bench. Jalen Johnson contributed 12 points and 10 rebounds, Onyeka Okongwu had 15, and Bogdan Bogdanovic scored 20. The result has gone viral on the internet.

Fans left disappointed after the Lakers lost in OT against the Hawks

The Los Angeles Lakers have not been performing up to their standards in the NBA over the last few games. Despite having the likes of LeBron James and Anthony Davis on their roster, they have suffered poor losses. Their most recent loss came against the Atlanta Hawks in overtime which left many fans upset.

Many fans took to various social media apps to put forward their disappointment and frustration after witnessing another loss.
