When a player achieves wishes to build a legacy he wants to don all the domains. Whether it be Cristiano Ronaldo or LeBron James, both of them left to prove they are great everywhere. LeBron James debuted with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2003 which was the most hyped talk of the town. He is definitely the greatest player ever in the Cleveland Cavalier jersey to ever play for the franchise. LeBron fit in perfectly to the squad and never seemed to back down. The kid from Akron fulfilled his promise of getting the championship home for the team. But former teammate Kevin Love recently revealed what it felt like when LeBron James exited the team in 2018.

LeBron James moved out from Cavs to team with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in the Miami Heat. As far as the super team is concerned, they had 2 back to back championships and it was because of Bron. However, James backed to the Cavs after leaving a strong impression in the hearts of Miami fans. As he returned, he brought the championship home after 52 years of dry seasons. It took Bron 13 years into the Cavs that quenched the 2016 championship title.

LeBron James decided to move to the Western Conference arguing that it was far more competitive than the Eastern one. As LeBron left the team in 2018, it was hard to bid farewell to the champ. However, he already fulfilled his promise and there wasn’t much left to achieve at Cavs. Kevin Love said, “I mean, it was definitely something that was kind of being said underneath people’s breath. I felt like I had an idea. Channing Frye and I were super close, we had talked about it. It was just the next chapter for him, we felt like that was somewhere. He obviously started his career in Cleveland. LeBron James had gone to Miami, needed a different look, played with two other great superstars and great pieces on that team.”

Love added, “Came back to Cleveland, he stayed true to his promise like I mentioned, and he went to four straight finals with Cleveland, which was super special. Then he was just figuring out what was the next chapter, and that’s worked out for him in a real special way. So I’m happy for him, I’m happy for his family. But to answer that question, yeah, we did feel like the writing was on the wall.”

LeBron James proved in the 4-year stint to straight finals that he is the best player in the world. But he needed to prove it in another environment with more tough teams. As LeBron James moved to Los Angeles Lakers, a lot of fans were annoyed at his decision. He made the 2016 campaign the best comeback ever in sports history. It is not only his legacy but sheer dominance and will power that has made him such great player.
