LeBron James and Luka Doncic unable to stop Lakers’ 3rd straight loss has fans losing it: “Back to the play in..”
LeBron James and Luka Doncic are unable to help the Los Angeles Lakers continue their February form with playoffs approaching.

LeBron James and Luka Doncic led Los Angeles Lakers lose third-straight game
The Orlando Magic are the lowest scoring team in the NBA averaging 104.8 points per game. All LeBron James, Luka Doncic and the rest of the Los Angeles Lakers had to do was to score above that number. Should not be a tough task considering the weapons they have in their lineup.
When LeBron James was out for two weeks, Austin Reaves suddenly became the best third option in the league. At least that is what fans and media were calling it. But after James has returned, Reaves has brought back the shooting struggles from his past.
Along with him, other players have also not been shooting consistently. All of that resulted in a lackluster display against the Orlando Magic. Last game against the Chicago Bulls, they were blown out of their own building.
Franchise legend Magic Johnson ripped into the team’s lack of effort on defense. Many expected the Lakers to come out with a response, but it never happened. That men in purple and gold have looked shaky on the road.
In this game against the Orlando Magic, the Los Angeles Lakers did close the gap early in the third quarter. But immediately after that Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner blitzed them to help the turn the game into their favor. Even though the Lakers battled in the fourth quarter, that deficit was too large to overcome.
Eventually, the team lost the game with a 118-106 scoreline that does not fully reflect how disconnected the squad looks right now. That disconnect has seen them lose three straight games, with more to come on the road as playoff positions tighten.
Fans tear into Lakers for losing third-straight game
Fans watching the game late into Monday night were not impressed with what they saw. On one hand, the scoring was coming from just two players, while the others struggled. Secondly, their effort on defense was again not good.
Fans believe if the team continues to lose games, they will fall back into the play-in places. Head coach JJ Redick has made it clear in the past that they want to avoid it at all costs. But the way they are playing now fans believe that could be the inevitable. Check out examples of those comments below.

We cannot keep playing like this and expect to make a decent playoff run. It’s like within 2 weeks we lost all ability to play a decent game.

The team has to figure out how to stop these losses. They have three road games to play before returning home. If they do not win those games, they will not be able to carry the momentum when they travel to Oklahoma City next month. All of these games are crucial if they want to hold on to the playoff spots.
LeBron James and Luka Doncic will have to step it up
If anything, LeBron James and Luka Doncic have to take the lead on this. They cannot depend on their teammates to take time to regain their form. Instead, if the two leading superstars take on the extra scoring burden, they can free their teammates to focus on defense.
Get that right, and then they can collectively try and get back into their scoring rhythm. The playoffs are less than three weeks away and the wrong momentum can end their season early. In the eleven remaining games, the Los Angeles Lakers must look to win at least nine games to continue staying in the top half of the West.
With other teams on brilliant winning streaks of their own, losses will see the Lakers slide down the table. There are enough games to cause disappointment. At the same time, it will be an embarrassment considering they once were second in the West.
