The Los Angeles Lakers faced off against the Golden State Warriors away from home on Christmas Day at the Chase Center. However, all eyes were on the NBA’s two greatest players playing in the league currently, LeBron James of the Lakers and his rival Stephen Curry of the Warriors. Both stars showed up for their sides in this matchup.

On Christmas Day, the Los Angeles Lakers ended a thrilling NBA basketball day by defeating the Golden State Warriors 115-113. The Lakers’ season record now stands at 17–13. The Warriors record in the West is now 16-14. Steph Curry and LeBron James, two-generational superstars, delivered in what might have been their final Christmas Day duel.

James shot 12 for 22 from the field and finished with 31 points, 10 assists, and 4 rebounds. Curry shot 14 for 24 and finished with 38 points and 6 assists. It’s important to note that, Lakers star Anthony Davis left the game early due to a sprained ankle. Despite, Davis not being present on the court, the Lakers came out victorious against the Warriors.

Steph Curry tied it with a 31-foot 3-pointer with seven seconds left, and Austin Reaves made the game-winning layup with one second left. With 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists, Reaves recorded a triple-double for the Lakers.

Regarding the Warriors, they suffered their eleventh defeat in 14 games. Late in the second quarter, Draymond Green received his eighth technical, bringing him halfway to the 16-point threshold that would automatically result in a one-game suspension.
