- Bronny scored his first points in the NBA with a three-pointer off LeBron's assist.
- The James duo made history as the first father-son pair to play together in the NBA.
At this point of his career, it feels like LeBron James creates history with every passing game. While he did not break any record as he did a few days ago by passing Robert Parish for most games played in NBA history, he did share a historic moment with his son, Bronny James, on Friday night.
The Los Angeles Lakers have been on a hot streak since the beginning of March. Back on court since their long six-game road trip, the Lakers registered another convincing 116-99 victory over the Brooklyn Nets at the Crypto.com Arena on Friday night.
During the second quarter with still eight minutes to go, LeBron was seen sharing the court with Bronny. He passed the ball to his son, who hit a three-pointer for his first and only points on the night.

FIRST FATHER-AND-SON ASSIST IN NBA HISTORY 🙌 pic.twitter.com/awKkQpPkGk
It was a historic moment for LeBron James and Bronny James as they combined to become the first father-to-son assist in NBA history. Bronny came off the bench and played for a little over four minutes against the Nets. He recorded three points on the night.
When Bronny was drafted by the Lakers as the 55th pick in the 2025 NBA draft, him and his father became the first ever father-son duo to play together in the NBA. Before being drafted into the NBA, Bronny did have some health issues that could have derailed his basketball career.
With immense pressure on his shoulders, the 21-year-old has struggled to cement a spot for himself in his second season in purple and gold. However, James Jr. has featured in back-to-back games for the Lakers in a while and it was not in garbage time. In their previous game against the Indiana Pacers, he had 13 minutes of action and scored four points.

Bronny James speaks on the last time he played with LeBron James one-on-one
LeBron James may be 41-years-old, and he may not have the same impact on winning as he once did, but he has not shown any real signs of slowing down. With Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves taking up the bulk of the scoring, James has seen his role as more of a playmaker this season.

Following the historic feat with his father, Bronny James shared a story about LeBron that was never made public.
The last time I played [LeBron] 1-on-1, I don’t know if this story came out but he broke a backboard at our house in Miami. It was a special moment with us two.
