LeBron James
LeBron James demonstrated once more why he is known as the KING. By being the first player to reach the 50,000 career point milestone, the Los Angeles Lakers legend made NBA history. His current points total is 50,022. James needed just one bucket to accomplish the historic record as he hit the court during the game versus the New Orleans Pelicans.
In the previous victory over the Los Angeles Clippers, James had the opportunity to set a new record, but he fell short by 18 points. James, however, concluded the game with 17 points and missed only one shot. He reached the hallowed total with ease in the opening minutes of the Pelicans’ game. His recent feat has left the NBA world in awe of his greatness.
Throughout his career, James, 40, has redefined basketball longevity and is already the NBA’s all-time leading scorer. It’s important to note that he leads in both the regular season as well as the playoffs. In addition to James hitting 50,000 points in his 22nd season, he has tied Vince Carter for the most ‘played’ in NBA history.

This is while playing over 35 minutes per game for the Lakers. In addition, he earned the title of NBA Western Conference Player of the Month (February) on Tuesday.
All said and done, James seems to be creating his own legacy in the NBA. WIth every season, the star has been surpassing records for fun. With the Lakers eyeing top 2 seed, James would be an important player if they were to achieve this position at the end of the regular season.
