In his 22nd year in the league, LeBron James has made his share of foes for sure. Although James is known for his calm demeanor off the court, this time, he clapped back when it came to his blood. After Green Bay’s brand-new coach and Fox radio host Doug Gottlieb threw jabs at Bronny James, saying he isn’t ready for the Showtime and that if he were on his team, “he would compete to start,” James did not hold back.

This definitely infuriated the 40-year-old Lakers veteran, who threw shots back at the collegiate-level coach after his team overcame a 21-game losing streak. James tweeted out, mocking the Fox Sports radio host’s coaching acumen, writing, “Earned 2 Not Given! Gotta give him credit though!”. No surprise, LeBron’s tweet drew 14 million clicks and sparked a media storm.

In response, the first-ever known radio host and college coach, Doug Gottlieb, clapped back at the King. While speaking to CBS, he called James a “troll” and said that he is “sad and petty” for someone who has millions of dollars in the bank.

After LeBron James roasted the Fox radio host over his egregious first season as the head coach of Green Bay, Gottlieb doubled down. Two days later, he took time during his radio show segment to address James’ criticism of him. And to much surprise, instead of apologizing, he dug in his heels, saying, “This is not high school, middle school, AAU, it’s not even college. It’s the NBA, it’s the Lakers,” for which Bronny isn’t ready.

This is not high school, middle school, AAU, it’s not even college. It’s the NBA, it’s the Lakers, and if you’re not comfortable with that, then maybe don’t force (Bronny James) into the NBA. But I have no response for a dude on a day off, who’s got millions of dollars, sitting in L.A. tweeting at me.

This is the second time the 49-year-old has taken shots at LBJ’s son and his million-dollar lifestyle. However, the head coach hasn’t been immune to condemnation either, especially with a 3-24 record. Fans have chastised Gottlieb over his radio job overlapping with his head coaching responsibilities and possibly hurting his team.
