Caitlin Clark loves golf, and she tries to play every opportunity she gets. Her favorite NBA player, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, has recently taken up golf.
He has just started swinging with drivers, hitting mostly with power and trolling himself while doing it, knowing he is a long way from becoming fairly decent at the game.
But he has tried to play every time he is near a course, as was evident from his trips this offseason. At the same time, the Akron native is also following golf on television.
James’ eyeballs popped when Scottie Scheffler hit an audacious chip to notch a birdie on his way to winning the BMW Championship held in Maryland.
Now, he had his eyes on the PGA Tour, where Tommy Fleetwood was attempting to break his duck. The Englishman had been placed runner-up and 3rd place 6 times each; he was in the driving seat at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia.
After Round 3, the Englishman was tied at the top of the leaderboard. The following day, his birdies helped him separate from the chasing pack. Even a bogey could not slow him down as he kept on racking up birdies.
He won his first-ever Tour Championship with a three-shot lead over the rest of the field. After the impressive win, LeBron James was among the first to congratulate him.
Congrats and (saluting face emoticon) Tommy Fleetwood!!! That first one feeling is something else! Especially after dealing with adversity and shortcomings.

The 4-time champion complemented his tweet with a string of fire and championship emoticons. He wanted Fleetwood to know that his first win was impressive.
Caitlin Clark predicted Tommy Fleetwood’s win beforehand
When Tommy Fleetwood started Round 4, he racked up 3 birdies in his first 7 holes. Golf aficionado Caitlin Clark was probably watching him every step of the way when she tweeted this:
This has to be Fleetwood’s day.

The 23-year-old has a much better grasp of the game than LeBron James. She saw that the Englishman was in better form in Round 4 than the others participating in the PGA Tour.
That is probably why she predicted that if he kept up that form, there was no way he could lose. When he finally putted his final stroke, the Indiana Fever superstar was waiting with a follow-up tweet.
Awesome. Sports rock.

The 2nd part of the Iowa native’s tweet shows that she was ecstatic for Tommy Fleetwood for winning his first PGA Tour Championship after missing out on so many occasions.

This win will help the 34-year-old get a $10 million boost to his total earnings. He walks away with 1/4th of the total prize money set apart for the championship as well as the FedEx Cup.
PGA Tour golfer wants LeBron James to play with pros
LeBron James admittedly has a long way to go before he can start playing with hobbyist golfers. He does not have the deft with which pros play.

However, he wants to get better at it and is taking lessons from his close friends. PGA Tour golfer Michael S. Kim wants the Los Angeles Lakers superstar to play alongside some pros as he looks to develop his game.
Hey LeBron, there’s a tournament called the Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country club. You can play with Scottie, Fleetwood or whoever you’d like in the Wednesday Pro am! It’s a lot of fun It’s during a home stint and you don’t have a game that day. Feel free to come out!

The 4-time league MVP might not instantly agree to this. But if he can continue to work on his game, he could fancy playing alongside Tommy Fleetwood or Scottie Scheffler at the Genesis Invitational Pro Am. He knows all too well how playing with the pros can help his game.
