LeBron James was yelling at Stephen A. Smith during Lakers-Knicks game

Today was the last of a six-game home run for the Los Angeles Lakers. LeBron James and his teammates were facing the New York Knicks with an eye on keeping their winning streak going. The popularity of that game meant that several celebrities from the Big Apple were going to turn up.

Stephen A. Smith has been working out of Los Angeles for the past few days. Normally, he is in New York when he works on his primary show, First Take. But due to his commitments for ABC, he worked remotely for First Take, while also appearing on NBA Countdown out of ESPN’s studio in the city.

Whenever the Knicks play a major opponent at the Madison Square Garden, Smith makes it a point to attend. Now since he was close to the Crypto.com Arena, it made sense for him to attend. When the game reached the half-way point, a fan captured a clip showing Stephen A. Smith sitting front row.

That clip also shows Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James speaking to the ESPN analyst. The 40-year-old is seen slightly animated and was allegedly flaming Smith. Social media lip readers broke it down where James allegedly says.

I don’t care bro, keep my son out of this s**t bro.

LeBron James allegedly said

Stephen A. Smith has recently had two different situations with LeBron James. One was when he called the Lakers star a hypocrite for calling out old media heads for criticizing him. On the other hand, the analyst praised the Los Angeles Lakers star for creating his own GOAT story.

Stephen A. Smith has had a rocky relationship with LeBron James

However, this latest altercation might indicate that all is not well between the two. The way LeBron James spoke to Stephen A. Smith and walked away clearly does not show they are ok. Smith was left hanging and he sat back in his seat.

Around this time last year, ESPN’s NBA Countdown crew was present for the Los Angeles Lakers game against the Denver Nuggets. At the time, Smith was a part of the crew when they sat on the court to preview the game.

The Akron native first gave Kendrick Perkins, his former teammate, a bear hug. Then gave a good handshake to Bob Myers and greeted Malika Andrews with a kiss on her cheek. He then shook hands with Stephen A. Smith at the end and walked back to his pre-game warm up.

However, he did not make eye contact with Smith, unlike what he did with the others. Smith also did not look the four-time league MVP in the eye. At the time, fans caught on to it and understood that something was not right between them.
