LeBron James made a clutch steal to win the game against the Memphis Grizzlies and keep Los Angeles Lakers playoff hopes alive

With the last two games of the regular season starting tonight, LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers had one goal only, i.e. to win both games. Against the Memphis Grizzlies tonight, it was supposed to be an easy battle. However, the young Grizzlies put up a fight good enough to push the game until the end. Ultimately, it was the oldest player in the league who brought out a clutch steal to put the game to bed.

With 15 seconds left on the clock, the Los Angeles Lakers were leading by 3 points. GG Jackson attempted a layup which did not get in, and everyone was trying to grab the ensuing rebound.

However, the ball was tipped out and Jack White raced to retrieve the ball. He tried to tip it back in as the ball was bounding towards the opposite half. LeBron James, hustling from behind, stole the ball and raced down the court. He finished with a reverse two-handed tomahawk dunk to put the game to bed.

The game was pivotal in giving the Lakers the upper hand with playoff seedings winding down. Had they lost, their chances of avoiding being at the bottom of the conference would have taken a huge hit. James and Anthony Davis combined to dominate the game, but the Memphis Grizzlies kept fighting.

Fans in awe as LeBron James keeps Lakers’ playoff hopes alive

Netizens were shocked as they watched the 39-year-old James showcase his athleticism in the last few seconds of the game. It is not common for a player in his 21st season to be able to turn on the afterburners at that moment. It shows the conditioning and still elite physical attributes of the Los Angeles Lakers superstar.
