As the years pass, LeBron James is becoming less of the physical force of nature he once was and more of someone who uses his experience and IQ to overcome his opponents.

With age, he also has the uncanny ability to understand when to engage in an on-court battle, or, as a video revealed, encounters with away team fans. During the game, a courtside 76ers fan tried to troll LeBron James’ hair. In response, he said this:

The King was either referring to his points total in the NBA or his wealth. It is highly possible he was referring to the latter, as the reaction of the surrounding fans and the heckler himself proved they were loving every bit of that interaction.

James and the fans were laughing, as he, as well as the mix of Sixers and Lakers fans, were left in splits with the epic comeback. They knew the league’s all-time leading scorer played it well by not reacting negatively.

As soon as this clip reached the internet, basketball fans joined in to revel along with the fans seated inside Xfinity Mobile Arena. They saw a mature and jovial LeBron James having the last laugh.

This is in stark contrast to the response some other veterans, or even the Lakers’ superstar himself, have had in the past. There was a time when fans felt the frustrations of losing were getting to the Akron native.

Not only were those fans amazed at how LeBron James turned a possible sticking point into a humorous interaction, but they did not expect the superstar to dominate late in the 4th quarter.

After watching him struggle with fatigue and then arthritis, fans were not prepared to see the Akron native take off with 4:37 left in the game. His 10 straight points effectively sealed the deal for his Lakers.

On his last score, the one where he initially tried to shake off Quentin Grimes, but then stepped back to launch a long fadeaway two-pointer, sent all the fans inside the arena into cheers.

They were on their feet as they saw one of the greatest players of all time defy his age and deliver a masterful performance, and then break out all of his celebrations immediately after. That reaction speaks of the respect he garners.
