Fans were not happy with LeBron James‘ unsportsmanlike behavior after the star lost in the first round of the playoffs. After the thrilling end to the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Denver Nuggets battle, James left the court without dapping any of his victorious opponents.
Despite playing a good game, the Lakers were unable to stop the Nuggets and Jamal Murray’s clutch game-winning bucket. LeBron James left the court immediately after the shot.
It is only natural for James to feel defeated after the loss in a close game; however, despite that, not shaking hands with the fellow contestants did not sit well with fans.
James took responsibility for the game as he scored a 30-point double-double when the rest of the Lakers could not even touch the mark of 20 points. The star was also on the court for most of the game, with 44 playing minutes, the highest among his team. James’ nearly solo outing was not enough for the Los Angeles Lakers to stay in the season.
The Denver Nuggets got a team win against the men in purple and gold. Murray mostly contributed in the final quarter, and the former MVP gave a Nikola Jokic classic by almost scoring a triple-double. The Nuggets are now qualified for the Western Conference semifinals.

James’s 21st season of his career has officially ended with a 4-1 deficit in the first-round matchup. The star was everything fans expected him to be on the basketball court in a crucial game. However, the veteran’s gesture after the loss came as a surprise to the NBA netizens.
Over the years, not shaking hands with the winning team’s players has been seen as disrespectful in the league. James had the chance to finish his season on a positive note, but fans were left disappointed.
