The Philadelphia Eagles thumped the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship game to earn a second Super Bowl berth in three seasons. In doing that, Eagles stars earned a well-deserved rest and a majority of them used that to watch LeBron James in action.

They arrived at Wells Fargo Center to watch The King and his Los Angeles Lakers take on their city’s own Philadelphia 76ers. Prior to the tip off, James, as usual, was going through his extensive warmup procedures when he noticed NFC Champions AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith and others.

He stopped his three-point work out to greet the two Eagles superstar receivers, dapping them up. A football fan, James knows all the players on the top teams, therefore did not stop showing love to them. Along with them were Darius Slay Jr., Cooper DeJean and Reed Blankenship were sitting courtside.

DeJean is a basketball fan and famously claimed he could beat fellow Iowa superstar Caitlin Clark in a one-on-one game of basketball. Then on, he and his teammates sat courtside to see the Lakers take a commanding lead in the 1st quarter.

At the time, they also saw Bronny James enter the game, however, he was not playing alongside his father who took to the bench. Senior James and the Lakers though would struggle after that as the 76ers took the game over and built up a 20-point lead.

LeBron James’ interest to play for Ohio State Buckeyes catches CFP Championship winning coach’s attention

Head coach Ryan Day was at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon with his CFP Championship trophy. When host Jimmy Fallon showed him a tweet from 2022 where the NBA’s all-time leading scorer asked if he has college eligibility to play for Ohio State’s football team. To this Day replied:

LeBron is a great supporter. With that being said, he’d be right in the line with the freshman in the back of the room and he’ll have to work his way up. He doesn’t get any special treatment.

Ryan Day said

King James saw this and replied on X.

I don’t mind it one bit Coach Day! Earned Not Given!

LeBron James’ reply suggests he would not mind going through the grind to play for his hometown Ohio State. He loves the team as well as the game. Considering his elite physical conditioning, would not mind going through the grind even at the ripe age of 40.
