LeBron James displays just the reason why he is called the G.O.A.T of basketball with yet another inspirational performance to lead his team out of danger. The LA Lakers’ leader dropped his 99th triple-double to ensure the team cruises past vulnerable Minnesota Timberwolves. With the game staying close throughout the 3rd quarter, King James decided to throw his all to make sure Lakers’ winning streak continues.

Not only LeBron James, but also Montrezl Harrell who scored 25 points alongside the former was impressive. After the All-Star break, it is safe to say that the Lakers are somehow stringing together performances to bring out the best of their form without Anthony Davis.

Dennis Schröder had 16 points and seven assists, while Kyle Kuzma and Talen Horton-Tucker scored 16 points apiece and excelled in the second half as the Lakers pulled away from NBA-worst Minnesota.

Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards scored 29 points apiece for the Timberwolves, who had won two of their last three games for the first time since December. Minnesota made 52% of its shots against one of the NBA’s best defensive teams, but allowed eight Lakers to score at least eight points apiece.

Anthony Davis missed his 12th straight game due to injury, whereas Marc Gasol missed his fifth straight game under the NBA’s health and safety protocols. He hasn’t played since February. Alex Caruso missed his second straight game in the NBA’s concussion protocol.
