Lakers LeBron James showed his support to the Los Angeles Fire Department by writing 'L.A.F.D.' on his signature shoe.
LeBron James honored the LA Fire Department
LeBron James made a touching gesture for the LA Fire Department last night. The horrifying wildfires in LA have affected over 200,000 residents as their homes and properties have been destroyed. Los Angeles’ NBA teams are also facing the challenging effects of the misfortune. Many NBA players are doing everything they can to show support to the City of Angels, especially their superstar LeBron James.
During the San Antonio Spurs visit to the Crpto.com arena, the team’s stars Victor Wembanyama and Chris Paul made a wholesome gesture for JJ Redick‘s kids. In the same game, LeBron James also tried to do his part and showed support to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The King decided to honor the real heroes during such scary times as he wore the LeBron 22s with a special message “L.A.F.D” written on it.
The Los Angeles Fire Department truly deserves all the props and support as their job is only getting more difficult. The magnitude of the fire is already difficult to control, but now winds blowing at up to 100 mph are contributing to its spread.

The signature shoe is not James’ only gesture towards the city’s fire department. The NBA’s all-time leading scorer also decided to use his social media influence for use by posting about the events. Ahead of their game against the Spurs, the 40-year-old also wore a shirt saying âThank you, first respondersâ.
LeBron James’ Brentwood home may face trouble due to the wildfire
The LA fires have affected many personalities as some games were even postponed due to the circumstances. The Golden State Warriors’ head coach Steve Kerr lost his childhood home. Lakers head coach Redick was devastated after his home got caught in the fire. Now, there is a significant probability that the catastrophe might affect the James family.
It was reported that the Palisades fire was rapidly increasing and reaching Brentwood. Many high-profile names have residences in the area, including James and his family. Outgoing Vice President Kamala Harris has a house in the neighborhood that was reportedly instructed to evacuate.
