The game pitted New York Liberty’s Sabrina Ionescu against Las Vegas Aces’ A’ja Wilson.

After winning 5 of their first seven games, the Las Vegas Aces lost 3 of their last 4. That form would not be good enough when going up against the New York Liberty, who are on a 7-game winning streak. Therefore, going into tonight’s matchup, James knew the Aces would give it their all to stop the slide against their Finals opponents. That is why he ended up courtside to watch a must-watch game.

James then hugged Sabrina Ionescu, Breanna Stewart, and Jonquel Jones after winning the battle of championship favorites. In the game, Sabrina Ionescu and her teammates continued to set the tone for the Liberty by dominating the interior. That itself proved to be the Aces’ Achilles heel, as they could not stop Jones and Stewart from dominating the paint.
