Following a triumphant end to their impressive run at the 2024 Olympics, LeBron James has expressed nothing but admiration for his Team USA teammate Stephen Curry. The Los Angeles Lakers star formed a lethal partnership with the Warriors player at the heart of the USA attack, which ultimately helped the team secure the gold medal at the tournament.
James has now opened up about how he felt playing with Curry for the first time on the same team. In an interview granted to BasketNews recently, he said:
We all came here for one common goal, and we took care of business. You just marvel at his talent. Obviously, I've seen it before, you know, on the opposite side. But having him on your side, you just try to get stops and figure out other ways on the other end but keep finding him. Keep getting him the ball."LeBron James on playing with Stephen Curry
According to LeBron James, he is already familiar with the talent Curry possesses. However, it is the first time they had played side by side, and he finally had the opportunity to see it up close. The 39-year-old also noted that having Curry on the court made his job a lot easier.
The Paris Olympics marked the first for Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, and he seized the opportunity with both hands. After struggling in the initial four games, Curry was in top form during the semifinal against Serbia and the final against France. He scored 60 points in those two games and made 17 three-pointers out of 26 attempts. Additionally, he silenced critics who had questioned his performance, particularly after a sub-par showing against South Sudan in the group stages.
