Lebron James is the G.O.A.T and not Michael Jordon: Alex Caruso

Lebron James is the G.O.A.T and not Michael Jordon: Alex Caruso

Alex Caruso and LeBron James

Alex Caruso came to the Los Angeles Lakers in 2017

Over the course of the years, many players have justified their opinion on the G.O.A.T, calling out several different players. But primarily the two leaders of this race in basketball are Lebron James and Michael Jordon. The former has just won his 4th championship with a 3rd franchise. Whereas the latter has registered 6 championships with the Chicago Bulls. The common trait has been both these legends have had numerous individual accolades against their names, showing their consistency.

Los Angeles Lakers’ Point Guard, Alex Caruso has stated his opinion calling out Lebron James as the G.O.A.T over Michael Jordan. The reason why Lebron could edge over Jordan is because of his longevity in the NBA. Even in his 17th season he won the Finals MVP.

Caruso explained his reasoning in the “JJ Redick Podcast.” He said:

FS Video

When I grew up, I had this fascination with highlights and I was a huge Michael Jordan fan… I’ve never seen full games or see him play in person, all you get are these highlights, you’ve got game winners, you just got them locking people up, you got them dunking. In my head, I’am like, he does it all and this is like the best dude to ever do it.

And then LeBron comes in like 2003 and we start watching him and then I get older and I start realizing more about basketball… I don’t know when it changed but there was somewhere around the year six-seven-eight for Lebron, when I was like this dude’s got to be the best basketball player to ever play. There is nobody that can do what he’s doing and then he did it for another 10 years.”

Lebron could end this debate even if he helps the Lakers do defend their championship in the upcoming 2020-21 season. Considering that Lebron is going to 36 soon, he has less time to put everything behind him and clinch another ring. But let’s see how the Lakers play in this new season with the competition being ever so tough.
