Darvin Ham gets ignored by LeBron James and Los Angeles Lakers players during Golden State Warriors game

Darvin Ham‘s name has been dragged through by fans and the media all through this downseason from the Los Angeles Lakers. Many claim he is the reason the team has not fulfilled their potential. It seems all of this has caught up with his players as well. Internet caught a video that shows how LeBron James and his teammates ignored Darvin Ham, while on the sidelines against the Golden State Warriors.

The video captured from the telecast of Tuesday’s game showed the Lakers players on the bench. As coach Darvin Ham starts to draw up a play on the board, Austin Reaves looks at it briefly. The rest of the squad, including LeBron James, are busy talking to each other on the bench.

Then, as the buzzer sounds, all of them, including Reaves, leave, even though Ham could not even finish drawing up his play. A visibly distraught Ham is then seen putting the board away with the incomplete drawing.

It goes to show that the entire team ignored the in-game adjustments their coach suggested. It does not, however, paint a good picture of the current state of Darvin Ham’s coaching struggles. His players preferred to discuss the situation amongst themselves rather than with their head coach as the Lakers struggled against the Golden State Warriors.

If it was any other elite coach, players would take heed of their advice and adjust accordingly. However, fans are not sure whether Ham carries any respect among his players. A head coach is supposed to be the one person players turn to for instructions during a game.

Netizens feel that if the Los Angeles Lakers do not have a deep playoff run, chances are that Darvin Ham could be out of his job. The complete ignorance shown by his players suggests either he has lost the locker room, or they think they can adjust better to the situation in the game.
