On October 22, the Los Angeles Lakers made history when LeBron James and Bronny James became the first father-son duo to share an NBA court. The pair checked in with four minutes remaining in the second quarter against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

This iconic moment was enjoyed by the whole NBA community worldwide, garnering major reactions from the fans. However, not everyone was a big fan of this moment. Former ESPN reporter Michelle Beadle was highly critical of this moment regarding the James duo. She stated that it was ‘fake’ and was not impressed by it.

When Russell Westbrook was chasing the triple-double record, and stat-padding towards the end, many said, ‘this is fake history. This is manufactured history.’ If this [Bronny entering NBA] isn’t manufactured, then I don’t know what the word means. But, again, I am not impressed, and I thought this was so ridiculous.

I found out (James being involved) after (I was fired)… Yeah, you know, he’s (James) a powerful dude I mean, there’s no getting around that he is an empire and an entity upon himself. All the respect for building such a powerful entity on a name and doing it well. So yeah, people are going to listen.”
